Before buying any mobile check wheather
It has an IMEI(International_Mobile_Equipment_Identity) number
you can edit the data settings in that phone
First activate the GPRS through customer care .If you are using a china made mobile phone then activate GPRS in others mobile or just activate it saying that you have a branded compatible phone. Because if you are using any China made phone they won’t have the automatic settings for that phone.Then follow the procedure
Airtel
Data account -----> GPRS ---- >Edit----- >
Account name ----- > Airtel GPRS (these are optional names you can keep any name)
APN ----- > airtelgprs.com
User Name ------>
Password ------- >
Auth.type ------- > Normal
Save it.
Then goto WAP
WAP ------ > Settings ------- >Edit profile ------ >Aircel Office PR ------- > Edit profile
Rename profile: Airtel mobile office (these are optional names you can keep any name)
Homepage: http://
Data Account: Select Airtel GPRS
Connection Type: Select HTTP -----> Proxy address – 000.000.000.000
Proxy port -8080
User name:
Password :
Aircel

Account name ----- > Aircel Office PR (these are optional names you can keep any name)
APN ----- > aircelgprs.pr
User Name ------>
Password ------- >
Auth.type ------- > Normal
Save it.

Do these settings and in “Go to address” or in “Bookmarks” save the address of the webpage .

Now you can use GPRS
